Godin: Canadian Innovation & 50 Years of Craftsmanship
When you pick up a Godin, you’re holding much more than a standard factory guitar. You’re holding a piece of genuine Canadian forest and over fifty years of hands-on family dedication.
100% Authentic Canadian Craft It all started back in 1972 in the tiny village of La Patrie, Québec. Master luthier Robert Godin opened a small workshop to handcraft acoustic instruments. While most industry giants eventually shifted production overseas to cut costs, Godin chose to keep every step under their own roof. To this day, Godin necks and bodies are carved in La Patrie and assembled in their dedicated facilities in Princeville and Richmond.
Game-Changing Innovation: The Multiac Series What truly sets Godin apart is their fearless drive to innovate. In the early 90s, they revolutionized the industry by introducing the Multiac series:
-
Arena-Volume Acoustic Tone: delivers rich, nylon-string acoustic tone at high stage volumes with zero feedback.
-
Built-In Synth Access: select models allow players to connect directly to MIDI synthesizers, unlocking infinite soundscapes right from the fretboard.
Versatile Lineup & The Godin Family
-
Session & Summit Series: high-performance electric workhorses offering razor-sharp versatility, incredible sustain, and effortless playability.
-
Sister Acoustic Brands: the Godin umbrella also includes iconic acoustic houses such as Seagull, Norman, Simon & Patrick, and Art & Lutherie.
Godin guitars don't copy old formulas. They offer a fresh, deeply musical, and highly technical vision of what a modern stage instrument should be.
